Travel to the Groudle Glen Railway by car or Electric Train. Head north from Derby Castle, passing Port Jack and follow the MER line along the King Edward Road to Groudle. Groudle Glen is less than two miles from Douglas Promenade. MER tram at groudle (photo AOB)
Enter Groudle Glen through the main entrance across the road from the MER Groudle Station just beside the Groudle Hotel.

Walk through the picturesque Groudle Glen to access the Groudle Railway. After decending the steps at the entrance, turn right and follow the Groudle River (which should be on your left hand side). Watch out for the beautiful waterwheel.

As you approach an old bandstand there is a bridge. Cross this bridge and turn right. Again follow the river (which is now on your right).
