To mark twenty five years since the ambitious restoration commenced, and to tie in with the official opening of the new locomotive shed, a special event was held on 16th September 2007. A special plaque was unveiled by Alex Brindley, Mark Edwards and Jonathan Kennaugh as representatives of the 'next generation' of volunteers. Chairman Tony Beard gave a speech to mark the event. The locomotive she was also officially opened by Anne Craine, MHK Chair of the Manx Heritage Foundation along with MHK Administrator Charles Guard. We express our gratitude to the Public Lottery Trust for their financial support with the project. Guests and passengers were treated to a slice of celebratory cake in the cafe at Sea Lion Rocks upon arrival. Sea Lion and Annie remained in service all day.
