It was all action at the Groudle Glen Railway this Easter. At Sea Lion Rocks the Easter Bunny greeted the visitors as Sea Lion stopped to let passengers alight. Our traditional Bunny was assisted this year by his companion who chatted merrily to the youngsters as she gave out the eggs. There were plenty of photo opportunities with the Bunny as families waited for the return trip to Lhen Coan.
Lhen Coan was bustling with activity, particularly as there was a television crew from Border TV present. One of the younger volunteers had suggested that the Groudle Glen Railway would be an ideal feature on a programme about unusual hobbies. The producer liked the idea and arranged to visit the railway during the Easter weekend. The early train was stripped of the 'bunny' decoration as the programme was to be shown in May and the camera rolled as the whistle blew and the train pulled out. The volunteers were interviewed as they worked. |
