Planning permission was sought for a new souvenir shop. The new structure will be more in keeping with the ambience of the line, and will feature a walk-in shop rather than platform display area.

On the afternoon of the 29th June, the flat-packed souvenir shop arrived in the glen and was loaded onto the runner preparing to be propelled into the glen for storage. It is hoped to commence work on building the new structure towards the end of the 2008 summer season.
