The railway volunteers are happy to have taken delivery of six new nameboards. There are two for each station. The nameboards are considerably larger than those they replace and are constructed from individual cut-out wooden letters in a serif typeface, on off-white backing with respective colour schemes for each station. Lhen Coan features brown, green for Lime Kiln Halt and maroon for Sea Lion Rocks. Suitable new posts for these are in the process of being erected. The first of the name boards has been erected at the Lhen Coan station.
Many thanks to Steve taylor for the hard work in preparing and painting the new nameboards. |
